My name is Desiree', I'm 19 years old, and I've lived a life of hell...but luckily, I've found an escape through writing and dancing. I began writing poetry when I was 12 years old, due to an incident that happened to me while at a state park. I was raped by two men in a bathroom, and until I was 17 years old, I kept it a secret...only letting my pen and paper know the truth. I started dancing when I was 3, and have been doing it ever since, but it has been extrememly helpful, along with writing, since I lost my fiancee' due to an accident. I hope maybe you can lose a little of yourselves through my poetry, for that is what has kept me going all these years. On this home page, the "doorway" to my site, I'll introduce myself and talk about my reasons for wanting a web site. I might put a picture of myself on this page...or just a picture that I especially like.
